As a General Operator you will be responsible for safe and efficient 24-hour operation of a chemical manufacturing process unit, monitoring and maintaining equipment, problem solving and troubleshooting related problems.

• Conform with Area and Plant safety rules, health and housekeeping requirements.
• Make safety, health, quality and housekeeping audits and initiate or take corrective actions.
• Observe all Area and Plant security regulations, procedures and practices for the safeguarding of Dupont Company information.
• Perform routine operation functions such as loading/unloading tank cars and trailers. Handling raw materials that are essential to the operation of the plant.
• Operate a Distribution Control System to make equipment or process adjustments to ensure plant operates within standard operation conditions.
• Assist Technicians from other job classification and /or perform tasks associated with their function.
• Recognize when conditions require notification of other personnel and make the contact.
• Participate in activities that increase one’s skills.
• Prepare records and reports that communicate required information.
• Monitor and troubleshoot operating control systems and related auxiliaries.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Be able to work multiple work schedules i.e. 12‑rotating shift or 12‑hour straight day or night shift and 8‑hour shifts

• Associate’s Degree in Chemical Industrial Technology
