We have been retained by a large client in the Printing industry to find a Quality & EHS Manager to oversee all aspects of continuous improvement, quality assurance, and EHS at a plant in Kentucky. Our client is a leading print manufacturer serving customers worldwide across diverse market segments, with a team dedicated to delivering high quality print products globally.

In this role you would be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and training manufacturing teams on quality tools and methodologies to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Base pay range

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control procedures for all print and bind operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead training initiatives to equip manufacturing teams with quality tools and best practices.
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure safety measures are in place.
  • Monitor, interpret, and implement applicable EHS regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote awareness and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure proper investigation of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve environmental sustainability and reduce the organization’s environmental footprint.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, ensuring timely submittal of state and federal reporting.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and evacuation plans; coordinate regular drills and training.
  • Monitor EHS performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage customer complaints and corrective action processes, ensuring quick resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Print Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a quality assurance role within a printing, packaging, or manufacturing environment

Desired

Skills and Abilities

:

  • Strong knowledge of print production, binding processes, and quality control methodologies
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives and programs
  • Excellent problem-solving, training, and communication skills
