Overview

Senior Recruiter at Sterling Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead plant operations and drive performance across engineering, maintenance, quality, assembly, and paint lines at a flagship facility located about one hour south of Louisville, KY. This role reports to senior leadership and offers a clear growth path into senior leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operational Leadership
    :
    Lead operations across injection molding, assembly, paint lines, maintenance, quality, and engineering.
  • Drive productivity, operational efficiency, and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Team & People Management

  • Direct and develop a team of supervisors and leads.
  • Maintain high levels of employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Oversee workforce planning, training, and development initiatives.

Production & Process Optimization

  • Monitor production KPIs and resolve bottlenecks proactively.
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S practices to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate on product launches and process enhancements.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce adherence to OSHA, environmental, and customer quality standards.
  • Partner with QA to address non-conformances, customer feedback, and corrective actions.

Strategic Planning & Growth

  • Contribute to annual budgeting and capital planning.
  • Support long-term facility improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on site-level growth plans.
What You Bring to the Table
  • 7+ years in manufacturing leadership, preferably in injection molding or automotive
    .
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale teams and manage complex operations.
  • Expertise in Lean manufacturing, KPI tracking, and process optimization.
  • Strong communicator and motivator with a track record of team development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred.
