Reporting tothis position: (2) Event Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Events Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Events at H&B to plan for and execute on events the department is hosting. Additionally, this position will be responsible for ensuring high levels of professionalism, customer service, flexibility, and in-depth communication team both within the events team and with guests. Ultimately ensuring that the events team remains aligned with the organization's overarching goals, vision, and core values.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with the Events Director to understand the departments goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Provides leadership to the events team during office hours and during after-hours events that are held on-site.
  • Participates as a member of the events team during quarterly planning sessions.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism during interactions with H&B's internal team and with event guests.
  • Provides exceptional customer service during event planning process and event execution.
  • Particpates in the strategic planning for/ on-site coordination of events to ensure a smooth experience for all guests.
  • Builds a team culture in which everyone is a valued team member and aligns with the organization’s core values.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the event team.
  • Provides coaching and leadership development opportunities to direct reports.
  • Provides input during the event team member interview process.

Other Duties:

  • Any responsibilities or projects may be assigned by the Director of Events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Communication, or Business.
  • A 2+ years of experience in Event Management, Hospitality, Administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Ability to understand client needs and communicate company abilities and options effectively.
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Able to be adaptable to constantly changing and short deadline situations.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrated project and time management skills.
  • Proven expertise in solving problems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
