Safety Director - Industrial / Construction
Location:
Louisville, KY

We are seeking a highly experienced Safety Director to lead and manage safety programs across multiple business units in the industrial and rotating equipment sectors. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee safety leadership for multiple business units, providing direct support to site-level safety leads
• Execute OSHA 500 training for new hires and refresher courses for existing teams
• Maintain compliance with 3rd-party safety platforms (ISNet, Avetta, Gatefeed, Tappi Safe, etc.)
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of regulatory compliance data
• Audit field activities for compliance with OSHA 1926 and MSHA Part 46 training requirements
• Research, implement, and communicate the latest OSHA/MSHA guidance and alerts
• Deliver required First Aid and Introductory Rigging training
• Manage and control costs of safety programs, including materials and training inventories
• Collaborate with leadership to drive a proactive safety culture across construction and industrial operations
• Travel up to 30% to support sites and field crews

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive safety leadership experience in construction or industrial environments
• OSHA 500 Certified Trainer (required)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 and MSHA Part 46 regulations
• Experience with rotating equipment environments (concrete, asphalt, food processing, or similar industries)
• Proven ability to manage safety compliance across multiple companies or business units
• Excellent organizational, training, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in heavy industrial field services or rotating equipment industries
• Familiarity with millwright, welding, or other mechanical field service environments
