CLARK Material Handling Company, A global leader in the Forklift & Material Handling Industry is seeking a qualified General Manager to lead our Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Louisville, KY.

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining the efficient operation of the CLARK Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center. Provide general supervision to all warehouse operations and functional processes within the facility. Primary responsibility is to maintain a properly staffed and trained workforce that supports the warehousing function by offering the highest levels of logistics support. This position involves the planning, directing, and coordination of all warehousing activities.

Must keep product moving smoothly, accurately, and efficiently. Must drive key performance indicators for cost savings, and maintain efficient utilization of manpower through proper scheduling and training in order to provide the highest levels of customer service.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible to ensure operational excellence in all warehouse areas, efficient operations of warehouse management system(s) and related equipment, inventory is received appropriately and efficiently and safely processed in the warehouse, as well as all orders processed and shipped on time and correctly
  • Ensures proper layout of warehouse, and proper maintenance and organization of all warehouse areas so that it's appearance is conducive to creating safe and effective work place
  • Ensures a culture of safety throughout the organization by directing safety policies and procedures – monitor safety and safety team as well as investigation of accidents and unsafe conditions
  • Leads and directs a staffof supervisors, group leaders and warehouse associates on two shifts
  • Interviews, hires, trains, assigns and directs work, appraises performance, rewards and disciplines, coaches and resolves workplace concerns of staff.
  • Identify and correct issues that negatively affect production schedule attainment.
  • Identify and maintain proper manpower levels to support budget requirements.
  • Responsible for compliance and knowledge with OSHA regulations and other safety standards.
  • Provide training as needed to maintain an efficient and knowledgeable work force.
  • P&L / Budgetary participation. Fiscally responsible guardian concerning company resources.
  • Ensure that warehousing procedures offer cost-effective solutions that will drive profitability.
  • Uphold housekeeping standards and conduct compliance audits to such standards. Maintain facility, equipment and other company assets in good working order.
  • Must facilitate communication within the management team and warehouse associates.
  • Enforcement of general company policies and issuance of coaching / disciplinary documentation to associates. Maintain level of managerial professionalism at all times.
  • Accountability for key performance indicators to ensure the warehouse is meeting or exceeding company and customer expectations.
  • Leverage and maximize company resources to fullest capability.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Provide additional assistance with projects and other items to be assigned periodically.


Qualifications:

  • 5 - 7 years of Supervisory experience in a warehouse or inventory management environment preferably experience working in an industrial equipment parts warehouse environment ( piece parts )
  • Preferred experience in Warehouse Management software, Excel, Word, and Outlook programs.
  • Strong knowledge of, Warehousing, receiving, packaging, picking, packing, order consolidation, shipping, and Material Handling operations, methods, and practices.
