The Environmental Services Department at Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a full-time Custodial Worker for the Downtown campus. This is a second shift position (2 pm to 10 pm).
Job Duties- Provide clean and sanitary facilities for students, staff, faculty, and the general public on a daily basis.
- Perform floor maintenance such as shampooing carpet, sweeping, moping, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety in assigned areas.
- Utilize basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.
- Monitor and secure facility interior and exterior entrances, report issues to appropriate entities.
- Maintain organization of supply areas and equipment, document inventory, and request additional supplies as needed.
- General classroom or building cleaning, bathroom cleaning and sanitation and simple floor care.
High School/GED, and one-year related experience, or equivalent
Preferred QualificationsPrevious cleaning and custodial experience, Knowledge of cleaning machines and cleaning tools

Regularly involves lifting, bending, or other physical exertions – often exposed to disagreeable environmental elements (heat, cold, dirt, chemicals, etc.)
