Overview
Talis Group is working with a Louisville, KY law firm seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to provide dedicated support to a Partner handling corporate and business litigation matters nationwide
. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a collaborative work environment and a comprehensive benefits package.
The Legal Secretary will play a critical role in supporting a Partner by managing administrative and litigation-related tasks with precision and discretion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct administrative and legal support to a Partner in corporate and business litigation matters.
- Draft, edit, proofread, and format legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and reports.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, calls, deadlines, and travel arrangements.
- Coordinate filings in state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal staff.
- Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and firm procedures.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Several years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in litigation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
