Job Summary

Provides technical support to department personnel in processing commercial insurance policies. The role involves verbal and written communication internally with staff and externally with current clients and other office support activities.

Responsibilities
  • Client/Policy Services (60%)
    • Provide daily support to Account Managers and commercial insurance accounts.
    • Prepare accurate certificates of insurance.
    • Confirm existence of coverage; check for and secure missing information and authorization when necessary.
    • Complete simple change requests, checks endorsements, cancellation endorsements, and audits for accuracy and relevance.
    • Prepare accurate auto ; process new business and renewal.
    • Follow up on direct‑bill late payments and keep Producer and Account Manager informed.
    • Prepare renewal files and renewal kits, including ordering of loss runs and loss summaries.
    • Learn all Commercial Lines service standards and procedures.
  • File Management (20%)
    • Document all correspondence, follow up for necessary information updates at appropriate times, and keep client files organized and up to date.
  • Teamwork (10%)
    • Work together with the team and other departments such as Marketing, Accounting, Claims, Producers, etc.
    • Conference with Producer or Account Executive to discuss execution of strategies.
    • Manage PTO to meet departmental needs.
    • Volunteer to back up and/or assist other Assistants as needed.
  • Determination (10%)
    • Display commitment and initiative to meet department and agency education goals as set forth in the organization’s education program.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university,
    ** or
    * * one to two years related experience and/or training,
    ** or
    * * equivalent combination of education and experience.
