Quality Assurance Lead

Akkodis is seeking a remote Quality Assurance Lead.

Salary Pay Range : $85k - $95k/year + benefits. (The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Schedule - Mon - Fri (8 am
-5 pm EST, remote, with annual visit only once an year for a few days to Columbus, OH)

The Quality Assurance Team Lead oversees the daily operations of the QA team to ensure high standards for product quality and release readiness.

This role is responsible for guiding team members, supporting effective testing processes, and managing risks related to quality and releases.

Dev velocity is increasing (AI usage expanding), and QA needs to scale.

Build and own the QA automation strategy from the ground up.

Select tools/frameworks (no preset stack – flexible).

Design and implement automation framework.

Integrate automation into Azure Dev Ops pipelines.

Establish standards, metrics, and release readiness criteria.

Shift QA to earlier engagement in the SDLC.

Automation tool selected and implemented.

Defined automation strategy + standards.

CI/CD integration with automated test triggers.

.NET stack (websites + apps).

REST APIs (strong API testing needed).

Hands-on builder first, not just a manager.

Will supervise and delegate work but not handle HR/payroll.

Must mentor existing QA team.

Needs to personally build automation (team cannot build it without them).

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred.

7+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.

2+ years of experience in a quality assurance lead or senior level, or a supervisory role.

Demonstrated experience creating formal test strategies, test plans, and test cases.

Experience implementing and scaling automated testing, including modern or AI-assisted tools.

Experience working in Agile delivery and production support environments.

Demonstrated quality judgment and execution accountability.

Ability to supervise work while maintaining trust and psychological safety.

Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.

Strong organizational, prioritization, and execution discipline.

Demonstrated ability to identify and manage quality and release risk.

Able to provide coaching and exercise sound judgment regarding documentation.
