This role sits at the intersection of business stakeholders, IT/data engineering, governance, and external partners, ensuring that data platform modernization, analytics delivery, and governance initiatives move from roadmap to realized value.

Our client is executing a multiyear data transformation that includes:

  • Cloud Data Platform modernization
  • Migration from legacy/mainframe and ADW environments
  • Reporting and analytics rationalization (Power BI, operational reporting)
  • Data governance operating model redesign
  • Business led use case delivery across policy, billing, claims, finance, and regulatory reporting
  • These initiatives require strong orchestration, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment—not just technical delivery.
In this role, you will:
Data Program & Project Leadership
  • Own day to day delivery of data initiatives across the our clients Data Roadmap, including platform modernization, reporting rationalization, and governance work streams.
  • Translate roadmap themes and initiatives into executable project plans, milestones, dependencies, and resourcing needs.
  • Act as the primary delivery lead coordinating internal teams and external partners
Business & IT Bridge
  • Serve as the business side counterpart to solution and data architects, ensuring business needs are clearly articulated, prioritized, and validated.
  • Partner closely with business leaders across policy, billing, claims, finance, and regulatory reporting to shape requirements and manage expectations.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business impacts and tradeoffs.
Roadmap Governance & Prioritization
  • Manage intake, evaluation, and prioritization of new data requests ensuring alignment with the enterprise data strategy.
  • Help leadership make informed tradeoff decisions when initiatives compete for limited capacity.
  • Prevent roadmap dilution by aligning work to agreed upon strategic outcomes.
Who You Are:
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in program/project management, with significant exposure to data, analytics, or platform initiatives
  • Proven experience leading enterprise, cross functional data programs(cloud data platforms, reporting modernization, governance)
  • Experience working in complex, regulated, or legacy heavy environments (e.g., insurance, financial services)
Core Capabilities
  • Strong generalist mindset: equally comfortable with business strategy, delivery mechanics, and technical conversations
  • Deep understanding of data lifecycle concepts(ingestion, modeling, reporting, governance, quality)
  • Agile/Scrum fluency combined with pragmatic program management discipline
  • High emotional intelligence; able to influence without authority and navigate organizational complexity
