Position OverviewAs a Digital Content Strategist at Galen College of Nursing, you will architect and optimize the College’s digital content ecosystem to strengthen brand visibility, enhance organic discoverability, and support prospective student engagement across all digital touchpoints.
This role blends strategic insight, audience intelligence, SEO/AEO expertise, and cross-channel content planning to position Galen as a national leader in nursing education and thought leadership. You will guide the development of high-impact digital content experiences, ensuring they are aligned with brand goals, optimized for search and emerging AI-driven discovery channels.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and continuous refinement of Galen’s digital content strategy to elevate brand authority, organic discoverability, and LLM/AE visibility.
- Use SEO, AEO, analytics, and audience insights to inform content priorities, channel selection, and narrative direction.
- Build structured content frameworks - journey maps, content funnels, taxonomies, and metadata strategies - to enhance alignment across channels.
- Develop and maintain an institution-wide editorial calendar rooted in search-driven and audience-driven insights.
- Collaborate with internal and external creative partners to produce high-quality content across formats (articles, blogs, emails, landing pages, videos, infographics, whitepapers).
- Guide content teams in shaping unified, omni-channel narratives that reflect Galen’s brand voice and educational leadership.
- Partner with the Webmaster and the enrollment marketing team to create and optimize web content, program pages, and user pathways.
- Partner with and provide strategic direction to two Social Media Specialists, ensuring social content aligns with SEO/AEO strategy, brand messaging, and larger campaign initiatives.
- Ensure strong alignment between digital content and social media programming to maximize engagement, reach, and user behavior data.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on performance across all digital platforms - including website, organic search, and organic social - to translate insights into actionable optimization strategies.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate A/B tests, conversion experiments, and engagement tests to drive measurable improvements.
- Leverage analytics to evaluate end-to-end user experience and recommend strategic enhancements.
- Edit, proofread, and elevate content to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Establish and maintain content governance standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Integrate audience feedback, user behavior insights, and stakeholder input to continuously evolve content strategy.
- Identify opportunities for new content formats, thought leadership, and digital storytelling.
- Surface insights and recommendations that help differentiate Galen in a competitive higher-education landscape.
