ROLE CHARTER

Mission

Design, build, and enable intelligent automation solutions across HCHB—beginning with Tech Enabled Services (TES)—by combining process intelligence, data engineering, and modern automation techniques to improve scalability, efficiency, and decision-making, and to establish the foundation for AI-enabled operations.

The IA Engineer I role builds the foundation for HCHB’s transition from legacy automation to scalable, intelligent automation aligned to corporate strategy.

Why This Role Exists

HCHB is transitioning from task-based, tool-specific automation toward intelligent, data-driven automation aligned to enterprise strategy. The Intelligent Automation Engineer I role provides early-career engineering capacity to:

  • Translate business processes into scalable, automatable solutions
  • Structure, validate, and integrate data that powers automation and analytics
  • Build, support, and evolve automation and insight solutions across TES and Finance
  • Support the organization’s progression toward AI-augmented workflows and decision intelligence

Scope & Allocation

  • ~60% TES / RCS (Initial Focus) Process understanding, workflow automation, and delivery of automation and analytics solutions that improve TES operations and scalability
  • ~40% Finance & Broader Organization (Expanding Scope) Data engineering, KPI automation, dashboards, and support of cross-functional strategic initiatives as intelligent automation capabilities mature

Measures of Success (First 12 Months)

  • Delivery of production-quality automation and analytics solutions that reduce manual effort
  • Improved cycle time, accuracy, or scalability within TES and Finance workflows
  • Reliable operational and financial metrics enabling dashboards and decision support
  • Documented automation patterns, data definitions, and reusable components
  • Demonstrated readiness to own more complex intelligent automation initiatives with broader enterprise impact
