The Web Designer is responsible for the look, feel, user experience, and functionality of a commercial website. This role includes creating internal company web pages, including graphics, animation, and functionality. Assignments are varied and require independent judgment and the ability to determine the appropriate course of action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review the existing website and lead a comprehensive redesign to improve the overall user experience.
  • Conduct focus groups or interviews with heavy users to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Present recommendations to leadership and secure buy-in for proposed changes based on research and findings.
  • Design web page layouts and online content, user interface graphics, icons, color schemes, content, and infrastructure for new product releases and web-hosted offerings.
  • Build out all mockups and finalized designs in Figma, ensuring artifacts are structured for collaboration and future use by other team members.
  • Understand organizational strategy and objectives and align work accordingly, making decisions with minimal supervision and following established guidelines and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience as a User Designer, Interaction Designer, or User Experience Designer/Architect.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design principles and current global UI/design pattern standards.
  • Experience designing websites and UIs for applications, incorporating business, technical, and design guideline constraints.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing and redesigning websites to improve user experience.
  • Proven ability to conduct user research, including focus groups or interviews, and translate findings into actionable design decisions.
  • Experience building interactive prototypes and finalized mockups in Figma, with artifacts suitable for team collaboration and reuse.
  • Ability to present recommendations to leadership and gain buy-in.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
  • Ability to provide work samples/portfolio.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to be flexible in a very fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Must be extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
