Job Details

We re looking for a dynamic and experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to join our growing team in the Manufacturing industry. This role requires a strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations, benefits administration, and financial management. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll and benefits for our diverse workforce, including salaried and hourly employees, across multiple states and union affiliations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for both weekly and monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
  • Oversee the administration of payroll garnishments, bonus payments, and other special pay circumstances.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage and oversee benefits administration, including health and retirement plans, in accordance with FMLA and ERISA guidelines.
  • Handle multi-state payroll and union payroll effectively, ensuring adherence to specific state laws and union agreements.
  • Prepare and distribute W2s and other tax documents in a timely manner.
  • Utilize payroll systems like Paycor and ADP efficiently and effectively, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to resolve payroll and benefits inquiries and issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in payroll software such as Paycor and ADP.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including payroll audits, garnishments, bonus payments, and year-end procedures.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and union payroll is a must.
  • Solid understanding of FMLA and ERISA guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex payroll issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
