Responsibilities

Mental Health Technician - Night Shift (Co-ed Unit)

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our Co-ed Unit. In this role, you will support the safety, structure, and therapeutic environment of our patients by working closely with the multidisciplinary team.

Job Duties

• Performs safety checks daily and as needed per guidelines
• Knows location and condition of all patients at all times
• Ensure proper hand off of clinical information
• Assists in management of behavior and control of destructive/unsafe behavior per facility guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Education - High School diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
• Years of experience needed - No experience required. Direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
• Certifications - Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Computer skills - Ability to: gain training through web-based programs; participate in employee surveys; enroll in company benefits.
• Communication - Must possess excellent verbal skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.
• Teamwork - Must be able to actively participate in a treatment team environment.
• Service Excellence - Consistently demonstrates all Service Excellence Standards.
