Resident Monitor (Relief)

Dismas Charities Inc. provides meaningful work in community-based adult re‑entry programs. This entry‑level residential re‑entry position monitors the custody, security, control, and maintenance of the facility and residents. The role is a part‑time relief position, 16‑24 hours per week, typically Friday and Saturday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with additional days as needed.

Base pay: $22.68 /hr. Part‑time relief employees receive dental and vision benefits.

• Monitors residents by observing, documenting, and ensuring accountability of all residents while within the facility and in the community.
• Provides control and documentation of transactions regarding money, subsistence, medications, first‑aid supplies, mail, visitors, accountability checks, and telephone calls.
• Assists counselors with resident programming, including electronic monitoring equipment, visits, and substance surveillance testing.
• Conducts scheduled internal and external inspections of the premises to maintain health, safety, and accountability; ensures physical plant safety/sanitation standards.
• Follows all procedures and policies outlined in the Statement of Work, Physical Plant, and Operations Manuals; demonstrates knowledge of emergency drills, life safety, facility sanitation, escapes, and unusual occurrence procedures.
• Works required hours in event of a work stoppage; accepts reassigned shifts without advanced notice; attends and participates in all required appointments/meetings.
• Performs general housekeeping of the center, including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and trash removal.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in both routine and emergency situations.
• One year of paid work experience.
• Must identify as female due to contractual obligations.
