Staffing Pharmacist LTC

Staffing Pharmacist needed for a privately owned,
* closed-door,
* non-retail, non-public facing, long term care pharmacy located in Louisville, KY.

• Verifies keyed orders as well as final packaged medication product for accuracy and quality.
• May supervise pharmacy technicians in the packaging and compounding of medications.
• Uses communication and organizational skills to effectively educate fellow pharmacy staff and allied health professionals.
• Communicates professionally with customers concerning medication interactions, allergies, dosing, storage and disposition.
• Checks new and refill medication orders for interactions, allergies and duplicate therapy.
• Answers drug information questions and prepare responses according to established format.

• Kentucky Registered Pharmacist license.
• LTC experience preferred but not required.

• 10:30am - 7pm schedule with every other Saturday 9am to 5pm rotating (closed Sundays) - 40 hours/week.
