• Handling incoming calls and emails:Answering patient inquiries regarding billing statements, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, pre-authorization for procedures, and general healthcare information.
• Patient registration and demographic updates:Verifying patient information and updating records as needed.
• Insurance verification and eligibility checks:Confirming patient insurance coverage and benefits.
• Claims processing and follow-up:Assisting with submitting insurance claims and following up on outstanding claims.
• Patient navigation:Directing patients to the appropriate healthcare provider or department based on their needs.
• Addressing patient concerns and complaints:Listening to patient issues, investigating concerns, and finding solutions to resolve complaints in a timely manner.
• Providing information on medical services and treatment options:Explaining procedures, costs, and potential side effects to patients in a clear and understandable way.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality:Adhering to HIPAA regulations by protecting sensitive patient information.
• Staying updated on healthcare policies and procedures:Keeping knowledge current on insurance guidelines, billing codes, and healthcare regulations.
