Guide Star Eldercare is a national LTC Behavioral Health Age‑Friendly Health System dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for elderly patients. Led by CEO/Founder, Dr. Steven Posar, the organization partners with long‑term care facilities to address complex psychological and medical management issues and maintain high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

As a Clinical Psychologist with Guide Star Eldercare, you will provide neuro‑behavioral health services to residents in long‑term care facilities, partnering with specialty clinicians to offer holistic, continuous care for the elderly afflicted with neurocognitive disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

• Provide evaluation of patients
• Establish differential diagnosis (e.g., Alzheimer’s vs. Parkinson’s vs. vascular dementia)
• Provide cognitive assessments
• Offer condition‑specific support therapy or insight‑based therapy when indicated
• Coordinate the patient’s care plan with facility staff, PCPs, and Guide Star colleagues, and engage families as appropriate

An active state psychologist license. Passion for the geriatric population, interest in neuro‑behavioral science, and desire to make a difference among patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other neuro‑degenerative disorders. HSPP preferred in applicable states.
