Norton Healthcare Pediatric Respiratory Therapy Residency Program
The first pediatric respiratory therapy residency program in the region.
Program overview10 month program designed to help respiratory therapists develop skills and knowledge to care for pediatric and neonatal patients. The program is designed to support you to:
- Experience educational and hands‑on practice with respiratory therapists, individualized preceptor orientation, hospital and unit‑based orientations, guided classroom learning and peer‑supported session.
- Improve patient care outcomes and knowledge.
- Transition from novice to advanced beginner respiratory therapist.
- Enhance career fulfilment and growth by increasing competence, critical thinking, communication and organizational skills and fostering interprofessional relationships.

Qualifications Program eligibility- New graduates or experienced adult respiratory therapists exploring a career in pediatrics
- Licensed to practice with the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care upon entering the program
