Job Title: Loan Review Analyst

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department: Loan Operations

Hours of Operation: M-F, 8:00-5:00

General

Job Summary

This position will assist in tracking, monitoring and review of data throughout the Loan Process. This position will review Loan Systems and Procedures as it relates to established Compliance, SOX controls and other Regulatory requirements.

Organizational Duties And Responsibilities
  • Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Supports all functions that maintain loan policy, compliance with regulatory agencies.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Review and work system reports for data integrity and timeliness of resolutions
  • Review Files post-closing for completeness & accuracy to mitigate potential risk and exposure
  • Review and validate the policies and procedures adhere to Loan Policy and Regulatory requirements
  • Submit written reports of reviews to supervisor, including findings and recommended actions
  • Conduct first line of defense monitoring and testing activities of the Retail, Private Banking, Business Banking and Commercial Lending processes.
  • Participates in the development and expansion of compliance and departmental procedures and controls as indicated through routine monitoring of and communication with the Business Units, Loan Operations and Compliance
  • Follow up with respective internal partners to ensure recommended actions are implemented and are effective
  • Work with the pre-close and Business units to review data and documentation related to HMDA and Flood Insurance
Other Functions
  • Maintain understanding of the bank’s products, services, geographic locations and the potential risks associated with those activities.
  • Conduct special projects/audits, when necessary, as directed by the Department Head.
  • Aid internal and external auditors and state/federal regulators during their examination of the bank

Minimum

Job Requirements

Education: High School/GED education, some college preferred

Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in banking operations with knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements as well as knowledge of bank policies and procedures

  • Strong PC skills (Excel and Word)
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction from Manager.
  • Ability to function in a multi-task environment responding to inquiries from internal compliance, audit, regulatory agencies and outside consultants in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to tactfully communicate with and gain respect of all employees
