Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a busy work environment and is well‑versed in working closely with senior management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including job costing, inventory analysis, financial management, financial analysis, financial reporting, forecasting, construction accounting, budgeting, accounting, cost control, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
Oversee all financial operations of the company, including job costing, inventory analysis, financial management, financial analysis, financial reporting, and forecasting.Implement and manage all aspects of construction accounting and budgeting.Develop and implement effective cost control measures to optimize profitability.Lead strategic planning efforts in collaboration with the senior management team.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required.Utilize advanced Excel skills and Sage Intacct to streamline and automate financial processes.Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data across the organization.Identify opportunities for financial improvement and make recommendations to senior management.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.In-depth knowledge of job costing, inventory analysis, financial management, financial analysis, financial reporting, forecasting, construction accounting, budgeting, accounting, cost control, and strategic planning.Proficiency in advanced Excel and Sage Intacct.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate and respond to financial challenges in a timely and effective manner.A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and professionalism.Join us and be part of a team that values your expertise and contribution.
