Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role requires a strong ability to manage financial processes, ensure accuracy in reconciliations, and contribute to month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.

- Handle bank reconciliations to verify transactions and maintain cash flow accuracy.

- Update and manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are precise and timely.

- Prepare and post journal entries to support financial reporting.

- Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are accurate.

- Monitor and manage cash flow to support business operations.

- Participate in special projects to enhance financial processes and system efficiencies.

- Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and resolve accounting issues. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

- Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis.

- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger management.

- Experience with preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close processes.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Familiarity with cash flow management and financial planning.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
