What We’re Looking ForWe are seeking a driven, high-energy Senior Accountant who thrives in the fast-paced world of manufacturing. This is a hands-on role for someone with a true passion for winning, exceptional technical depth, and a team-first mindset. You’ll own key pieces of the monthly close, deliver actionable insights to leadership, and continuously improve our processes in a collaborative, high-accountability environment. Responsibilities- Financial Reporting:
Preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. - Team Management:
Support the Controller in overseeing the accounting and finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. - Process Improvement:
Lead initiatives to enhance accounting processes through automation and technology, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. - Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis. - Internal Controls:
Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting and compliance with applicable regulations and standards. - Reconciliations:
Oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. - Audit Support:
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation. - Policy Development:
Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance. - Ad Hoc Analysis:
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as required by the Controller.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, Dynamics GP experience a plus; experience with automation tools, and AI utilization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
