By emphasizing ONE Park, ONE Mission, One Team, the Loan Funder plays a critical role in supporting members with their commercial, mortgage, and consumer lending needs by efficiently funding loan requests in accordance with lending policy. This position involves finalizing approved loan applications, ensuring accurate disbursement of funds, and maintaining compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. The Loan Funder collaborates closely with document specialists and originators throughout the funding process to ensure a seamless experience.
EssentialFunctions & Responsibilities
- Finalize approved loan applications by performing the following: review documents for signatures, contact document specialists with any issues for correction, perform transactions necessary to disperse funds accurately. Once the loan has been booked to the core system, ensure all funds are sent to the appropriate parties. Ensure and verify all documents are saved to imaging system and/or any other storage deemed necessary.
Maintain communication with the lending staff throughout the loan process regarding any questions, concerns, delays, and/or receipt of funds, etc. Fund employee loans, when applicable, ensuring all transactions are completed accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality to protect employee privacy and adhere to company policies. Keep supervisor informed of any issues that may arise, items that may need further review, or may affect the service provided. - Serve as a resource for other loan funders, using sound judgement to perform job tasks and prioritize work within the assigned scope. Provide mentoring and training to loan funders, including support for new or transferred employees and the implementing new processes and systems for project teams.
- Maintain relationships with originators, loan assistants, document specialists, and branch personnel providing assistance and guidance on loan matters as needed or requested. Provide support to all business lines of the credit union when needed or requested.
- Achieve individual goals and assist in attaining department/organizational goals while always keeping efficiency top of mind.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of regulations, rules, policies, and procedures that may affect lending. Advise manager of any changes that may affect credit union processes to limit risk of loss.

- Experience:
Three years to five years of similar or related experience. - Education:
(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. - Other
Skills:- Knowledge of lending products.
