PositionTax Analyst is a role designed to perform indirect and direct tax compliance projects. The Tax Analyst will work closely with the Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Manager, and a team of internal professionals and external tax service providers. This role supports indirect tax and unclaimed property requirements with a hands-on approach. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys an excellent work environment and the challenge to learn and advance their career.

The position resides at the Wieland North American headquarters in Louisville, KY, and can include a remote or hybrid option.
ResponsibilitiesTax Analyst Responsibilities:
- Indirect Taxes
- Support the processing of data used to complete the required Sales & Use Tax filings throughout North America.
- Work with external tax service providers to ensure timely filing of various tax filings and prepare some filings internally (e.g., capital, property tax, sales & use, excise).
- Collaborate with the legal department to ensure accuracy of information required for business registrations and annual reports.
- Unclaimed Property
- Manage the data collection activity for Unclaimed Property compliance filings annually.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure data and process compliance with local regulations.
- Automate and standardize processes where applicable.
- Process and file the applicable Unclaimed Property reports.
- Federal and State Tax Compliance
- Assist the team in the calculation of Fixed Assets, Unicap, Transfer Pricing, and Research & Development.
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Accounting, preferably with a concentration in tax.
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in public tax accounting, preferably working toward a CPA license.
- Hands-on, self-motivated individual with the ability to create or improve processes and documentation.
- Strong computer skills with emphasis on Excel and Word. SAP and Oracle experience is a plus.
