Hybrid Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
Job type:
Permanent, hybrid.
Qualifications:
Experienced Senior Accountant with knowledge of fixed assets in manufacturing.
- Oversee the fixed assets of the organization, including tracking, recording, and depreciation schedules.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with the law.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and reports on changes in financial position.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Conduct variance analysis for revenues and expenditures to identify trends and make recommendations.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring the general ledger is accurate and up-to-date.
- Carry out the end-of-year close process, preparing the organization for the upcoming fiscal year.
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team to review and improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts and participate in the ongoing strategic planning.
- Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and databases, as well as MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and create financial reports that are accurate and actionable.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a hybrid working environment is a plus.
