Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Louisville, Kentucky. This role focuses on preparing and reviewing individual tax returns with precision and timeliness. Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

- Analyze financial data and documentation to complete tax filings effectively.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to streamline and manage tax preparation tasks.

- Provide clients with clear explanations regarding tax-related inquiries and processes.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex tax issues and discrepancies.

- Manage deadlines efficiently to ensure timely submission of all tax documents.

- Maintain organized and secure records of all tax-related information.

- Assist in identifying potential tax savings or deductions for clients.

- Communicate professionally with clients to gather necessary information and documentation. Requirements - Proven experience in preparing individual tax returns.

- Proficiency in using Lacerte Tax Software for tax preparation.

- Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.

- Excellent analytical skills to interpret and organize financial data.

- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax filings.

- Experience working in a contract position is preferred but not required.
