Are you a registered Professional Engineer with extensive heavy civil quality control experience, ready to lead a high‑profile dam project?

Our client — a leading National Heavy Civil Contractor — is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to lead quality efforts in Kentucky. This is a rare opportunity to step into a critical leadership role on a major USACE project with a highly respected, employee‑owned contractor.

Project Requirements (USACE CQC Standards)
  • Minimum 10 years related construction experience
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) – Required
  • Prior experience in similar role on dam, mass excavation, or mass concrete projects
  • Completed USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors course within past 5 years
  • Full authority to act in all CQC matters
Required Background:
  • 5+ years QA/QC experience in Heavy Civil / Heavy Highway construction
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License – Mandatory
  • Experience on public and private works projects
  • USACE project experience strongly preferred
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all QA/QC functions for the project
  • Implement and maintain project‑specific Quality Control Plan (QCP)
  • Ensure compliance with USACE CQC requirements
  • Develop and enforce company quality standards and procedures
  • Coordinate inspections, documentation, and reporting
  • Train and develop QA/QC staff
  • Interface with Owner, USACE representatives, and project leadership
  • Ensure project delivery meets contract, safety, and quality standards
