Piping Designer

CFW Associated Engineers, Inc., is a full-service consulting firm of mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical, structural, and process engineers. Staffed with experienced engineers, designers, and drafters, CFW specializes in the design and construction of new industrial processes and redesigns/modifications to existing processes. CFW’s clients include owners, contractors, and fabricators.

CFW is expanding our design team and seeks candidates for a Mechanical / Piping Designer position.

• Gathers field data and takes measurements to support project design
• Develops Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
• Interprets equipment and piping specifications
• Develops layout of process equipment using 3D modeling and scanning technologies
• Generates Equipment Arrangement plan and elevation drawings
• Generates piping drawings from the P & I Diagrams
• Prepares plan and elevation piping drawings and isometric piping drawings
• Prepares design drawings for structural supports for specialty equipment

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Design Technology

• Excellent level skills in Auto Desk AutoCAD software (3-5 years of experience preferred)
• Intermediate level skills in 3D piping design software
• Good oral and written communication skills

• Familiarity with Auto Desk Plant 3D software
• Familiarity with Navisworks
