- Champion lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban, TPM, visual factory, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Own pre-SOP facility planning, including plant layouts, material flow, and inventory optimization.
- Perform throughput, broadcast, and dock-to-dock analyses to ensure production and delivery requirements are met.
- Build and validate operational models using simulation tools (e.g., Pro Model or equivalent) to support data-driven decisions.
- Partner with engineering cost estimators to develop accurate assumptions for labor, automation, square footage, tooling, and material-handling investments.
- Develop RFQs, equipment specifications, and capital plans that support scalable, efficient operations.
- Track and manage capital investments while ensuring strong ROI and operational readiness.
- Work closely with Purchasing to evaluate suppliers, equipment, and emerging technologies that keep operations competitive.
- Support packaging design efforts with a focus on ergonomics, labor efficiency, freight optimization, and plant layout.
- Serve as a technical partner to internal teams and customers through design reviews, capacity studies, feasibility assessments, and technical presentations.
- Plan and execute industrial engineering projects from concept through implementation.
- Benchmark industry best practices and help set engineering standards.
- Step in to troubleshoot and support operations during launches, changes, or critical production challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Exposure to complex manufacturing systems (automotive or similar high-volume, multi-process operations).
- Strong background in packaging concepts and design.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and strong working knowledge of CAD viewers.
- Advanced Excel skills and solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Hands-on experience with facility layout, material flow analysis, capacity planning, and labor optimization.
- Experience with simulation and modeling tools such as Pro Model or equivalent.
- Highly analytical, curious, and solutions-oriented.
- Comfortable owning projects and influencing outcomes without heavy oversight.
- Strong communicator who can translate data into clear recommendations.
- Willing to travel periodically to support new launches, engineering changes, and production needs.
