The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager in ensuring projects proceed safely, accurately, and smoothly, supporting operations and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

• Perform daily reports and monitor work activities for production and schedule tracking.
• Create and manage construction documentation such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, notifications, and correspondence.
• Lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
• Maintain strong written and verbal communication with clients, owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Prepare equipment usage reports, allocate cost codes, and confirm proper return/receipt documentation.
• Submit and track all submittals to owners/customers.
• Prepare monthly pay requests for Project Manager approval.
• Obtain material quotes, submit purchase orders, and track materials usage and inventory.
• Maintain project schedules in Primavera and P6, assist in document control.
• Review and understand plans and drawings for heavy civil projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or QC Technician on heavy civil projects.
• Experience with Primavera CPM scheduling (or similar) and CAD.
• Familiarity with USACE projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong multitasking skills, ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Preferred:
  Experience supervising operations teams; heavy civil site projects such as water control, levee, concrete, and mass excavation.
• Background check and drug testing required.

• Consistent performance of essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and local standards.
• Regular, punctual attendance required.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must communicate clearly on the telephone.
