Field Application Engineer

Bastian Solutions is seeking a Field Application Engineer to support sales in the surrounding area. This role promotes the latest technologies within the Automated Material Handling industry to customers, develops strong relationships with industrial and distribution clients, and provides exceptional material handling and automation solutions to meet business requirements. You’ll work with cutting‑edge technologies such as robotics, mobile robotics, autonomous vehicles, AGVs, and more.

Location: Louisville, KY

Compensation: $55,000.00‑$75,000.00

• Develop strong relationships with customers through timely, regular visits
• Assess needs and present tailored solutions
• Sell a wide variety of products and services to meet customers’ needs
• Collaborate with other Bastian Solutions entities to provide the best solution
• Provide professional sales quotes in a timely manner
• Master business technology (Auto Cad, CRM, PowerPoint presentations, etc.)
• Pursue leads from our website and suppliers
• Maintain the customer database in CRM
• Communicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers, and competition
• Network with business contacts within the territory and industry
• Master product information through training and personal efforts

• 25% overnight travel (expenses paid by Bastian)

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or MET preferred)
• 2+ years of previous engineering work experience
• Technical sales experience, industrial sector preferred
• Material handling automation design and sales experience
  
  Strong presentation skills
• Auto Cad experience a plus
• Entrepreneurial and competitive personality
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship
