Arcadis is seeking an entry‑level Asset Management Consultant for our Resilience Water Business Line to work on a variety of engagements with our National Asset Management practice. Candidates across the Midwest are welcome, though the ideal location can be negotiated. The chosen candidate will work independently and on teams staffed with management consultants, IT professionals, engineers, and scientists from diverse backgrounds and expertise.
The role requires a self‑motivated, team‑oriented, and flexible individual with initiative and the ability to take on new projects, learn independently, troubleshoot issues, and tackle challenges regularly.
Role AccountabilitiesIn this role you will work as part of the national asset management team to plan and deliver asset management solutions for clients. Project work includes water and wastewater infrastructure such as treatment facilities, utilities assessments, and capital improvement planning.
- Work with senior consultants and client staff to perform business process/work method assessments, conduct project research/data collection, perform analyses, and generate reports.
- Perform analyses on large utility datasets such as GIS, CMMS, condition inspection databases, capacity assessment/hydraulic modeling, etc.
- Increase team productivity by developing automated applications and coordinating information requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, and team management skills.
- Provide on‑site or off‑site services to support client staff with planning/scheduling, condition assessment, capacity assessment, contractor management, and more.
- Develop and review technical reports and presentations for projects. Design and implement analytics and dashboard platforms.
- Perform data processing, cleaning, and analytics; database design, development, and management for SQL Server or Oracle.
- B.S. in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Management.
- 0-1 year of consulting experience with an environmental engineering or management consulting firm, or equivalent experience with a medium/large municipal utility.
- Experience with SQL Server.
- Data analytics experience (Power BI, Tableau, or other) and understanding of database functionality and information systems.
- Understanding of water and wastewater process equipment, distribution, and collection system assets.
