Here’sa Glimpse At What You’ll Do
- Develop new products that add significant value to Lantech’s customers.
- Interpret customer needs to establish electrical product specifications.
- Design electrical systems, write PLC logic, and complete electrical documentation according to internal and industry consensus standards.
- Ensure new products meet functional and non‑functional specifications, including safety, performance, cost, reliability, & manufacturability.
- Devises and conducts validation tests to ensure product quality.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and devise short and long‑term remedies.
- Apply engineering theory to solve complex problems.
- Learn & apply new skills as projects require.
- Maintain knowledge of new technologies and apply where appropriate.
- Identify & act on opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with and support teammates and other colleagues.
- Direct junior engineers, technologists, and technicians as necessary.
- Travel to customer sites to commission pre‑production tests or troubleshoot technical issues (up to 20%).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Has proficiency with Allen‑Bradley Studio
5000 and 2D CAD drafting - Has general knowledge of NFPA
70/79, UL508A, and CE Low Voltage Directive
- Minimum of 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience designing or supporting industrial equipment.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Master’s in Electrical Engineering a plus
- Experience with text‑based programming, Siemens TIA Portal, and Allen‑Bradley CCW is a plus.

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
