ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Exceptional knowledge and understanding of all applicable electrical codes / standards including but not limited to UL508A, NEC, NFPA
79, SCCR rating - Exceptional knowledge and understanding of wiring and operation of electrical components including but not limited to PLCs, VFDs, transformers, power supplies, safety relays, control relays, pilot devices, push button/selector switches, circuit breakers, fuses, phase monitors, contractors, overload relays.
- Familiarity with a variety of manufacturers electrical components
- Exceptional knowledge and understanding of electrical circuitry including but not limited to power distribution, motor controls, AC/DC high voltage, AC/DC low voltage, relay logic, emergency stop
- Proficient at interpreting electrical schematics / layout drawings
- Strong troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
- Proficient at identifying electrical and mechanical design defects or poor workmanship.
- Maintain quality documentation files of completed procedures
- Strictly adhere to quality control procedures and processes.
- Develop quality control standardized work procedures and processes for electrical panels.
- Teach and train existing panel technicians how to qualify their own electrical panel work safely.
- Communicate panel non-conformances with appropriate Panel Team Lead/Panel Technician
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing ladders
- Must be able to perform all required tasks in a safe manner with solid electrical safety knowledge and experience.
- Must be able to perform all required tasks with minimal instruction and little supervision.
- Two-year EE technical degree required, or equivalent work experience required
- 7+ years of custom panel building experience
- Experience with:
Multimeter – resistance, current and voltage testing;
Hand tools; MS Office – Excel, Word, Power Point
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug screen
This role will start at $28.00 an hour.
