Description:
The Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer teaching positions to teach introductory and upper division courses in the discipline, including, but not limited to, Women in American Culture, Gender and Public Dialogue, Humanities and Gender, Gender and Art, Gender and Popular Music, History of Women in Medicine, Feminist/Women's History.

- Teach introductory and upper division courses in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies.
- Utilize Blackboard to submit course syllabi, order textbooks or other reading materials, provide developmentally meaningful feedback, present engaging learning experiences, and respond to students in a timely manner.
- Submit final grades within university deadlines and comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer, including completing an attestation disclosure form and annual evaluations.
- Communicate regularly with the designated academic program director.
- Candidates must have completed 18 hours of graduate coursework in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies and have at least one semester of classroom teaching experience with excellent communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include additional graduate hours in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, an M.A. or Ph.D. in Women’s, Gender Studies and Sexuality Studies, or a Ph.D. in a related field.
- Experience in online/distance education instruction is also preferred.
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and demonstrate responsibility, initiative, creativity, and dependability.
- Applicants will be reviewed and placed in a pool for consideration as openings arise. Appointments will be made as needed; need for part-time instructors varies by semester. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
