SummaryThis is an Academic Urologic position with Norton Children’s Medical Group, affiliated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine with full academic appointment within the Department of Urology at the University of Louisville. We are seeking an experienced, board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric urologist with greater than 5 years of post-fellowship clinical practice experience for a full or part-time faculty position. This is a unique opportunity to engage in clinical care and scholarship, with a focus on mentorship of junior faculty.
The position will allow flexibility in role development, personalization of clinical practice, and will accommodate protected time for research and/or academic enrichment pursuit (leadership, quality improvement and patient safety, development of multidisciplinary programs) in a growing division.
The successful applicant should have a track record of regionally or nationally recognized scholarship, service to national organizations, and clinical expertise in pediatric urology.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality pediatric urology clinical care, including outpatient, inpatient, and operative services
- Mentor junior faculty and residents
- Support advancement of research, education, and clinical missions in collaboration with division chief
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in Urology and subspecialty fellowship training in Pediatric Urology
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and track record of scholarly productivity or leadership in clinical programs, education, or research appropriate to the desired rank and track
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state
- Board certification in Pediatric Urology
- Experience with da Vinci robot‑assisted surgery
- Strong record of mentorship and contributions to academic citizenship

Our Pediatric Urologists see children from newborn to age 18, offering comprehensive care and state-of-the-art tests for diagnosing and managing a wide range of urological conditions. We are one of the few practices in the area to offer advanced leading technology with video urodynamics and sedation capability. As the first pediatric urology providers of pediatric robotic surgery in Louisville, we stay on the cutting edge of technology with da Vinci Xi robotics and a full line of infant and pediatric endoscopic/cytoscopic equipment that is unavailable elsewhere in Louisville.
The practice also utilizes telemedicine and electronic medical records with remote use.
