Expanded Duties Dental Assistant – EDDA – Dental Assistant

Family Care Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

• Organize and maintain lab equipment, take and develop X-rays, and provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients.
• Support the clinical treatment care of patients and sustain patient comfort; soothe upset patients and educate them on dental procedures.
• Manage clinical supplies and work efficiently to maintain the supported dentist’s schedule; adhere to OSHA and company safety policies.
• Assist the dentist in managing dental emergencies and contribute to ongoing patient care and safety.

• As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, you will take and develop X-rays and provide post-operative care as described above

• A minimum of three years of experience as an EDDA with restorative skill-set is required for consideration
• Positive and outgoing personality with exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent patient care skills and strong organizational skills
• Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Ability to build rapport with patients; good manual dexterity
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn new programs
• Ability to travel at least once every other month for training (occasional overnight)
• Dental assisting school certificate is a plus; previous dental office work experience is a plus
