We are seeking experienced senior electrical estimators to join our team for a leading multi-trade industrial contractor . This role offers the opportunity to lead full-cycle estimating for large-scale electrical construction projects in industrial and commercial sectors.
Locations:
- Louisville, KY
- Paducah, KY
Salary Range: $115,000–$140,000 (depending on experience and location)
Key Responsibilities:
- Own full-cycle electrical estimating:
Develop accurate, timely estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and expenses. - Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to interpret bid requirements.
- Maintain supplier and subcontractor lists; prepare RFQs and secure competitive pricing.
- Draft detailed proposals, including any specialized requirements.
- Interface with clients and collaborate on electrical drawings and project details.
- Manage administrative and direct labor aspects while overseeing projects.
- Conduct post-project cost analysis and ensure adherence to quality construction standards.
- Monitor compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and risk management.
- Collect and analyze project costs (raw materials, labor, equipment).
- Identify cost uncertainties and mitigate risks in costing models.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical construction project management and estimating.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, OR equivalent tradecraft certification.
- Proven track record estimating and managing industrial projects valued at $5MM or greater.
- Proficiency with electrical estimating software (preferably Accubid).
- Experience using project management software.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Scheduling software experience is preferred.
