Residential Construction Project Manager

The Residential Construction Project Manager oversees all phases of residential construction projects from pre-construction through final closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards while coordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and homeowners.

• Manage day-to-day operations of residential construction projects (single-family, multi-family, or custom homes)

• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and vendors on site

• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance

• Review plans, specifications, and change orders

• Communicate regularly with homeowners, architects, and internal teams

• Ensure projects meet local building codes and inspection requirements

• Resolve construction issues, delays, and conflicts efficiently

• Track costs, approve invoices, and manage budget variances

• Oversee project closeout, punch lists, and final walkthroughs

• 3–7+ years of residential construction project management experience

• Strong knowledge of residential building practices and materials

• Experience managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractors

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency with project management or construction software (Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, etc.)

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
