Residential Construction Project Manager
The Residential Construction Project Manager oversees all phases of residential construction projects from pre-construction through final closeout. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards while coordinating subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and homeowners.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operations of residential construction projects (single-family, multi-family, or custom homes)
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and vendors on site
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
Review plans, specifications, and change orders
Communicate regularly with homeowners, architects, and internal teams
Ensure projects meet local building codes and inspection requirements
Resolve construction issues, delays, and conflicts efficiently
Track costs, approve invoices, and manage budget variances
Oversee project closeout, punch lists, and final walkthroughs
3–7+ years of residential construction project management experience
Strong knowledge of residential building practices and materials
Experience managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractors
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with project management or construction software (Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, etc.)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
