Thalle Construction Co., Inc. (“Thalle”) seeks a Field Engineer to assist on a Dam Safety Modification project.

Location: Louisville, KY
Title: Field Engineer
Salary: Competitive package based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Construction Manager/ Superintendent with short-term schedules, shop drawings, submittals, scheduling subcontractors/materials, coordination meetings, as-built drawings, job cost, procurement and field operations.
  • Generate and maintain concrete placement schedules and three week look ahead schedules.
  • Conduct planning meetings with project production staff.
  • Track and assemble requirements for daily reporting through quality control personnel.
  • Track and report schedule progress in USACE RMS.
  • Track and report production quantities as provided by production supervisors.
  • Document change order work to support costs submitted to owner.
  • Participate in daily huddles and safety meetings.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with clients, representatives and field inspectors.
  • Assist buyout process, write requisition, communicate required info to Project Team.
  • Attend subcontractor coordination meetings to update schedules, drawings, specs.
  • Comply with safety procedures/policies and address/fix non‑compliance among employees/subcontractors/vendors.
  • Conduct work with integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5‑10 years field experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, P6, USACE RMS, Bluebeam.
  • Ability to review and understand plan specs and drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
  • Able to prepare reports in Excel/Word.
  • Initiative, organization, planning skills; establish effective relationships with employees, subs, IC's.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Speak and listen clearly on telephone.
  • Safe and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA
