Position: REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - CS

Overview

Position Summary:

Staffs and directs a sales team while providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum growth and profitability in line with company vision, mission and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the Equipment Depot marketing area and contributes in the development of customer centric based solution. Will work closely with the Regional CS Director to strategically implement and manage all sales aspects of the Rental, New, Used, Service of aerial equipment strategy.

Will have the knowledge and ability to assist the sales team in extending current specialty product markets as well as developing a presence in new regional areas. Will work together with other business unit management to grow all aspects of our business.

Responsibilities
  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of all salesmen in CS regardless of function.
  • Assist in establishing and meeting vendor performance commitments.
  • Develop strong relationships with OEMs while representing Equipment Depot in the most professional manner possible.
  • Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Prepare action plans by Account Manager, as well as by team, for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Understand the importance of timely follow up with customers, managers and staff, making communication a top priority.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with all Account Managers to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for improvement of sales and activity performance.
  • Provide timely feedback to Senior Management regarding performance.
  • Understand market pricing levels and work with Account Managers to increase market share while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Managers.
  • Assist Account Managers in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the sales team.
  • Recruit, test, and hire Account Managers based on criteria set by senior management.
  • Assist in the implementation and use of a CRM system.
  • Work across the entire Equipment Depot footprint to do the right thing for all customers.
  • Onboard new sales reps.
  • Competency to step in and handle sales for open territories including vacations.
  • Capable of generating and penetrating new prospects with the sales team.
  • Capable of leading a sales meeting to motivate and educate the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: College degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years’ proven sales management or business development experience in multi-location operation with large span of control and experience in the CS products.
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge and abilities of Microsoft Office products.
  • Other Requirements: Exceptional and proven leadership and team building skills with proven negotiating ability. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
