Position summary:
GE Appliances’ National Account Senior Manager (NAM) is responsible for achieving customer sales and margin growth for the Amazon account. Categories include Filtration, Global Specialty Products, Parts, and Water Heaters. The NAM manages all aspects of the customer experience (sales, marketing, and operations), increases sales and margin to meet annual targets, and collaborates cross-functionally to develop and execute a holistic sales growth plan for Amazon.
The ideal candidate brings cross-functional leadership, an analytical problem-solving approach, and the ability to translate data and customer needs into high-impact programs.
- Account Management:
Deliver the Sales Plan by executing and achieving all sales and margin operating plans for the Amazon account, including product catalog management, driving traffic and conversion, and improving customer integration. - Pricing:
Manage wholesale price sheets, promotional plans, meet comps, and MAP Bulletins; translate into customer formats and communicate information to customers in a timely and accurate manner. - Promotions:
Create and execute promotional plans from start to finish in collaboration with category teams, pricing, and finance. - Continual Improvement:
Identify opportunities to drive growth and efficiencies; partner across internal and external teams to establish plans, drive execution, and reduce chargebacks. - Media Management:
Manage the media budget and track category spend, partnering with an external advertising agency and Amazon’s internal advertising team.
- Manage and develop a direct report.
- Collaborate with the Amazon team on current marketing and logistics programs and seek opportunities to grow capabilities with Amazon.
- Organize and lead in-person and virtual internal team and customer meetings with agendas focused on Joint Business Plans.
- Conduct regular business reviews with Commercial Directors and Vendor Managers to discuss performance, identify opportunities, and strengthen partnerships.
- Represent customer needs, including go-to-market strategy and operational capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in Ecommerce sales/account management; other customer-facing marketing, customer operations, or retail/.com buying experience may be considered.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, customer-first environment requiring cross-functional collaboration and meeting customer timelines.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of retail financial metrics to inform planning and develop retail analytics and go-to-market presentations.
- Proficient in Excel and data analysis; ability to analyze data across financial, marketing, and operational areas and generate insights for future planning.
- 10-25% travel required for customer or company planning meetings.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers, management, cross-functional teams, and peers.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in leading and growing brands with Amazon, including promotional and advertising strategies; experience with an advertising agency is a plus.
- Track record of cultivating and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers including Vendor Managers, Commercial Directors, and Project Managers.
- Experience with Salsify, Stackline, Vendor Central, Seller Central, Brand Registry, Transparency, Sales Force, and/or Oracle is a plus.
