Overview
This role serves as a critical administrative function within the Development Team, ensuring accurate processing and acknowledgment of donor data and fundraising activity, as well as the delivery of precise and timely reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of donor data and timely gift processing within the Arreva fundraising database;
- Accurately process and document daily donations in the database;
- Complete the month-end donation reconciliation process for accounting;
- Create and maintain donor acknowledgments and year-end tax information mailings;
- Create and maintain donor email and mailing lists;
- Manage stewardship mailing lists;
- Occasionally assist as backup to the Office Administrator with the front door traffic and answering/transferring calls;
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks, including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents for the team; and
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of Donor Database administration;
- Knowledge of basic accounting;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software;
- Basic knowledge of how to operate standard business equipment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude;
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, donors, and partners;
- Ability to prioritize tasks;
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment;
- Outstanding ability to communicate in person, in writing, and over the phone;
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute; and
- Commitment to the mission, values, and goals of SVDP.
- High School Diploma;
- Donor database experience required;
- Four (4) years of administrative experience preferred;
- A combination of education, training, and experience that results in demonstrated efficiency in performing the work may be substituted;
- Successfully pass any required pre-employment background and drug screening;
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance; and
