Our client is a national healthcare organization that operates a diverse network of hospitals and care services across the United States.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our esteemed healthcare organization. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in our financial department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks, including reconciliations, year‑end close, and financial reporting. With over 5 years of experience in healthcare accounting, the Senior Accountant will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.Manage the process of financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.Conduct regular ledger processes and reconciliations.Apply comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.Coordinate year‑end close processes.Ensure compliance with all internal processes.Review and analyze financial data for accuracy, correctness, and completeness.Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.Monitor and mentor junior staff and assist in hiring, training, and evaluating employees.Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA designation is highly desirable.A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare accounting.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.Proven experience in financial forecasting and financial analysis.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport‑building, listening, and questioning skills.High level of integrity, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to recognize and resolve problems.Benefits
