This position is accountable for applying all credits and adjustments against the appropriate accounts, posting all payments as they are received from lockboxes, credit card transactions and bank wires, balancing daily cash received against lockbox totals and completing daily reconciliation.
Key Accountabilities- Responsible for all aspects of processing and applying all batches, credit cards payments and bank wires into the billing system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Accountable for maintaining reports in Excel used to balance and identify posting activity.
- Responsible for applying all credits and/or adjustments to appropriate open invoices/deductions within the correct accounts.
- Perform research on any unidentifiable payments and cash posting discrepancies on a daily basis within the AR/Accounting department.
- Work closely with the A/R Department to provide requested documentation (when necessary) to the Accounting Department and/or Auditors.
- Work independently with limited to no supervision.
- Ensure that all work‑related activities and functions are performed in a professional and ethical manner in compliance with the operating principles established for the accounting department.
- Work closely with the accounting department to ensure all items are in balance.
- Perform duties effectively in the most cost‑efficient manner possible.
- Perform all other related duties as required.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Cash Posting and/or Accounts Receivables Experience is beneficial.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel is a must), Microsoft Outlook.
- SAP knowledge / ERPLX Knowledge.
- Working knowledge and accuracy of a 10‑key numeric keypad.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work closely with others in order to accomplish department goals.
