Talis Group’s client is a well-established nonprofit organization that provides direct services to low-income individuals in Louisville. They are seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to work closely with the Director of Finance and play a key role in managing AP processes, reconciliations, documentation for reimbursable expenses, and accurate financial recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
This full time, direct-hire has a salary range of $46-$50k, paid holidays, and 3 weeks of PTO. Employer also pays 80% of health insurance premium.
Hours are Mon-Friday, 8:45am-4:45pm, onsite.
Highlighted Duties- Process accounts payable invoices and accurately enter into accounting system.
- Reconcile employee credit card statements and vendor credit accounts.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Gather and organize documentation for grant billings and reimbursements.
- Monitor and record monthly journal entries.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with financial procedures.
- Assist with regular monthly payment processes.
- Support Director of Finance with additional accounting tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; equivalent accounting experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum two years of accounting experience in an office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (Sage experience a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Accurate with numbers and financial data entry.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments.
- Professional demeanor with strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
