Accounting Manager

We are a leading Midwest-based recruiting firm partnering with an Automotive Manufacturer to hire a hands‑on Accounting Manager for their Metro Louisville / Southern Indiana facility.

This is a strategic move for a Senior Accountant or an experienced Accounting Manager who prefers technical execution over people management. Reporting to the Plant Controller, you will own the plant’s accounting functions with a clear path for advancement within a global manufacturing leader.

• Culture:
  High‑initiative and collaborative. You will act as a technical advisor to the finance team.
• Tech Stack:
  Oracle Fusion (ERP), One Stream, Power BI, and advanced Excel.

• Financial Closing:
  Lead the month‑end process, ensuring GAAP‑compliant journal entries and sub‑ledger accuracy.
• Analysis:
  Interpret budget vs. actual variances and communicate financial results to leadership.
• GL Ownership:
  Manage balance sheet reconciliations and accruals for payroll, benefits, and marketing.
• Strategy:
  Drive process simplification projects and support tax filing/compliance.

• Industry: 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Advanced Excel proficiency; ability to quickly master ERP systems.
• Expertise:
  Solid grasp of GAAP, internal controls, and business tax practices.

• Base Salary:
  Up to $110,000.
